More projects are breaking ground here than ever before. The Kootenays’

Northstar Mountain Village, Sullivan Stone Lodge, are just a few of the
spectacular properties making their mark in Kimberley.

Pow
WOW
Kimberley Alpine Resort gets some serious powder. With almost 7
metres of white fluff last season, Kimberley Alpine Resort became a serious
contender in the powder destination category. Runs on the backside's Easter
Bowl and in Kimberley's new gladed areas were especially delicious all season
long.
Other Resort Upgrades in the Past Two Years:
Revised Beginner Area – With programs expanding and more people taking
lessons, we needed more space, so we created it! The Owl Learning area had a
new 180 foot long magic carpet with a corralled, low-angle
learning slope, and
existing terrain was re-contoured
to offer beginners a wider, lower angle slope to
master the initial skills before heading up the North Star Express Quad.
Summer Glading –Look for 7metre
spacing throughout the entire front side of
the mountain.
NEW Trails – For those who want to explore a little before you reach the base
area, or for those staying on the mountain, the North Star Trail will take you
from below the skier bridge amongst a tree lined, low angle trail to your
destination in the Resort plaza. Moe’s Trail – A new intermediate trail to the
skiers’ right of Boundary Run. Nate’s Way – A new access trail from the Top of
the Tamarack Chair to the Stemwinder Run. New designated FIS Homologated
run as part of the Kimberley Paralympic program.
